What the some of my readers said: ~~I just read Pistols at Dawn. I really enjoyed the mystery right to the end. I've read a fair number of the romance genre over the years and this first story is a neat, juicy specimen. Congratulations on a successful first run. I'll be looking for an autographed copy of number 2. B. McKee, Canada I don't read a lot of romance books like I used to, but I do occasionally get in a few. However, when I received yours from the contest win, (Pistols at Dawn), I read it all in less than a week. Thank you again. It was really a good read. She inserts enough suspense and passion to keep the action flowing in a well-paced intriguing filled tempo while unraveling the mystery of Simon’s past; the demons that haunt him; and who was trying to kill him. You’ll be charmed with Victoria whose mission seems to be trying to resurrect the kind and gentle soul that she knows is residing deep inside Simon. This is a deeply satisfying and entertaining regency read I highly recommend. Rating: Marilyn Rondeau – Reviewers International Organization (RIO)
Rakehell.com:
Pistols at Dawn contains
everything that (in my opinion) a good Regency Romance should
have: a dashing hero, a bold heroine, a menacing villain, an
exciting story-line, red-hot passion, and a delightfully
romantic ending.
This
book is one for the keeper shelf! I will definitely be
placing this author on my watch list. No disappointments with “Pistols at Dawn“. Patsy Glans for The Road to Romance - June 5, 2006
Fallen Angels Review
by Michelle
You know, I just love a good rake, but even more than that, I
love a rake who discovers his principles and decides to make
something more of himself than he first appears. Author
Michele Ann Young won me over completely with her portrayal
of Satan St. John; his tortured and heart-rending emotional
baggage really touched me and just made me like him even more.
It was a joy watching him discover his softer side and, after a
very short time, he became Simon to me rather than Satan.
Victoria is a spunky and stubborn heroine who has not a chance
against this rake’s mesmerizing appeal. Pistols at Dawn
took every necessary element and slid it seamlessly into this
tale; there are heaps of danger, a gorgeous maiden, a wounded
hero, and a truly wicked villain. The sparks shot off by Simon
and Victoria fairly burn with barely-leashed sensuality and the
delightfully dreamy ending made my heart flutter. Four angels! ROMANCE DIVAS----From the first moments of a deadly duel up to the very last page, Pistols at Dawn was a gripping regency-era historical romance. Engaging characters and flamboyant settings brought this book to life and swept me into a world of days gone by. A perfect combination of sensual tension and desire, this fast paced tale was a quick and enjoyable read. Deep dark secrets, lavish balls, and horse-drawn carriage rides with a charismatic hero all add up to pure delight. With this first offering from the talented Michele Ann Young, I am pleased to say that the historical romance genre is alive and kicking.------Reviewed by:: Debora Dennis 4 ½ Kisses
